every time i set
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\PerfOS\Performance
to 0 and restart my computer, it resets its self to 1, i am running windows
xp media center edition

more intelligent is able to circumvent
your modifications.

so why do you want to
modify that particular key?
