How do I go to key:
"HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\Lanm
anServer\Parameters" so that I can increase the value of
the parameter? (i.e., exactly what do I do to enable me
to do this)

To edit the registery, run REGEDIT. And, I advise backing up the
reg'y before editing it, since a broken registry can make your PC
unbootable.
