Registry Trouble

I tried to delete some registry keys, using registry editors like CCleaner
which failed, as it could not delete the specified registry keys.

Then i tried to use regedit. When i click on the key i want deleted, i get
"error while opening key" and when i try to delete the key, through the right
click menuof my mouse, i get the "error, cannot delete key"

I want those registry keys deleted. What can i do?

There are 5 registry keys that malfunction, everything else works fine.

I have O/S: Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition 5.1, Version
2600.xpsp_sp2_gdr.070227-2254: Service Pack 2
Br: Internet Explorer 7, 7.0.5730.11

Try in Safe Mode and try the deletion.
Or While on the Registry try to take full control on that Key By Right click
and select permissions and give your account full control to Delete, Write,
Read..etc.

Nass, thank you for your time. I can't enter safe mode, cause it seems my
monitor won't work on safe mode :(

I tried giving my account permissions to read and write for that key, but it
won't let me save this and exit, it gives me an error message saying i can't
do this.

Hi Konstantinos,
Try to create another account or log with another account with admin
privileges and see if that will help, you may have a profile corruption or
an Infection so please make sure your system clean from malware and viruses
by scanning.

Also it will be helpful if sent the Keys you want to delete in your next
message.

Nass, i checked for virusses and malware with more than one antivirus -
antispyware programm.

I also found out i had more trouble in my hands than i'd imagined, all file
handling registry keys are not working any more.

So in great panic, i saved all the important stuff and i formatted my pc, i
hope i won't have any more of these.

I guess registry cleaning sux, i for one, am never gonna use it again. I
think this caused all the problems.
