Jackie

When I run Regseeker, then do clean registry, I get some
items that I don't know if I should delete or not. The
are:
open with entry unused
extension not used
invalid activeX/com entry (CLSID)

Are the items that have these safe to delete or should I
leave them alone?
Any help would be greatly appreciated
Thanks!

Jackie,

Better leave them alone or before deleting the CLSID, take a backup of the registry key. Reason being, some Registry cleaners do not understand certain CLSIDs [required for XP] and recommend you delete them.

My question is why do you want to clean your Registry? What benefit do you think you will get from doing a Registry cleaning, as compared to the risks incurred via a Registry cleaning?

Hi Jackie,

IMHO, those reg cleaners are best left alone. The can get you into a whole
lot more trouble than they could ever get you out of. That is speaking from
my own experience from a long time ago.

LOL, JAX
