- I have to e-mail several different files of same type, several
times a day so tried to simplify this procedure.
I tried to set up file type (e.x: ".yyy"), so when I double click on
it,or hit enter, The New Mail Message wound open. Same window as
after you have right clicked on any file and then gone through Send
to and Mail Recipient. What I did is,
1. I added .yyy key on "HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT" ad set its Default value to
"Microsoft Internet Mail Message".
2. Then I tried to set same values as ".eml" files but as result I
have same window on both situations.
I can not find a solution for opening file on New Mail Window with
its self attached to the message.
Does anyone have idea how to do this?
It would help me to find and send files much easier then sending them
one by one.
Thanks
And why is selecting (i.e., highlighting) each of the files in Explorer
or in the Search dialog and right-clicking on them to use the Send To ->
Mail Recipient context menu not a viable method for what you described?
If you want to send multiple files then just select multiple files and
right-click on any of them to use Send To -> Mail Recipient.
..eml files are message files saved from Outlook and encoded using its
own format. That filetype is associated with Outlook because Outlook is
the application that understands Microsoft's data format for that file
(i.e., Outlook understands the file it output). So double-clicking on
that file will open it in Outlook because that is the application
associated with opening that filetype.
