I am trying to help someone who has unwittingly downloaded a trial version of
Registry Pro. and wants it removed.

There is no listing for the program, even in Add/Remove.

I have deleted every item I can find in the registry referring to this prog.
except one.
This will not allow itself to be deleted

Any ideas?

Did you try deleting it in Safe Mode?

Alias

If there is s System Restore Point from a date prior to the installation, you
could use that. It might well remove the whole of Registry Pro.

Thanks for the info. I'll try that as soon as possible.
Is there another way to access Safe Mode, F8 does n't work on my computer?
Could you explain "Use the "Reply to Sender" feature of your news reader
program to email me."?
I do not understand.

Start, Run, MSCONFIG, BOOT.INI, /Safeboot
Thanks for the info. I'll try that as soon as possible.

That only works if you are using a newsreader like Outlook Express,
Netscape or Thunderbird. You are using MS's web interface and I guess it
won't work with that.

If F8 doesn't work, I don't know what to tell you. Are you hitting the
F8 right after the beep when rebooting?

Alias

Holding the Ctrl key during boot will work with some machines.....others use
the 'tapping' of the F8.
Heirloom, old and mine takes the F8
