any one have an idea what to do with a Registry Error that prevents me from
even starting up Win XP Pro..
A blue screen comes on quickly but so quick that i can't read the error
message.
won't even allow me to re-install Xp over the top!!

any suggestions.. helppppppppp

Rich thanlk you for your reply..
My problem is that i cannot get past step 4 of "michaelstevenstech" website
as my computer immediately reverts back to an error messsage regarding
Registry Errors..
I am quite happy to delete the hard drive if need be...
I cannot even get into Safe Mode using the F8 option you mentioned..
I am at a loss as to what has occurred..
I installed encryption software last night and this morning these problems
started...
any other sugg's gratefully accepted..

regards

mick

Do you get a Dialogbox come up and tell you that their is a registry error.
If so I've had this a couple of times after an application install and the
only way I found to get past it is not to click OK. Ignore the Dialog box
and restart windows via task manager. After a restart windows works just
fine. If you click OK to dismiss the dialog it will show up again on
restart.
Maybe this is not the correct way to fix this but it has worked for me.

Thanx Mick but i cannot even get Win Xp to start up. I never get to see a
Dialog box. I am quite happy to erase my HD ad start again..
There must be a way to get past this problem, typically MS website tells ya
nothing..

thanx
Mick

To start again you'll need a startup floppy.
Boot from the floppy and when you get to the A:> prompt type fdisk
delete the partition and logical drive.
remove the floppy, insert WindowsXP disk and reboot. Windows SetUp will
rePartition and Format the hard drive for you before reinstalling itself.

Here's instructions and link to a bootdisk in case you need them
