Hi,
I have a problem in accessing registry with regedit.exe. Operating system
on my machine is windows 2000. when I execute regedit.exe at the command
prompt Registry Editor opens and at once it closes without allowing to view
registry setting details.I have logged under Admisnistrative user group.
Earlier it worked properly
even I replaced regedit.exe it doesnt work.
I need to know how can i fix this problem

Try freeware Registrar Lite, www.resplendence.com, much better than regedit.
If RegLite doesn't work either, sorry, I can't help you. I also use Win2000.

You can try MS-MVP Doug Knox's Emergency Msconfig, Regedit, Task
Manager utility:

Most likely you are infected by a worm that kills the regedit.exe
process.
