Hi.

My IE was hijacked whenever I licked on a link. However,
when I edited the registry I discovered the name of the
website I was hijacked to. Despite the changes I made in
the registry to set the location to my default website,
it was hijacked again. The editing that I made had no
effect since I wasn't able to save the registry.

How can I make changes to the registry that will not be
changed by other programs?

Sincerely.
Isaac.

You need to get good antivirus and spyware remover programs and run them. I suggest PCcillin by TrendMicro and
Ad-Aware by Lavasoft. Run these, then change your startup page in tools/internet options. Then restart your computer, as well as follow any additional instructions listed in the virus descriptions or alerts from the two previously mentioned programs. Good luck
