When I accepted a pic from a girl in China, via MSN 6.1 Mssgr, the
'registry' ( window with black background/white
type- pls correct me if i'm using incorrect term) appeared briefly. Could
there be an INNOCENT
reason for this? Or should I be worried!! ?
I've ran AVG (updated) - Spywareblaster & Spybot S & D with no indication of
anything wrong.
I have Win XP home edition & have all updates installed.
Would a simple system restore undo any registry change? Or is there an
'undo' command possibly?
Any advice will be appreciated, Thanks.

Thanks for responding so quickly Lanwench. I have also ran the 'Housecall
with no results. I haven't re-booted since this happened-might it be that
when I do I'll find problems? Is there anything else I can do? Thanks Tom
PS Not sure what is meant by taking 'Candy' but there was no 'porn' involved
in this! I had responded to an inquiry by the girl re mssgr being down and
was looking forward to finding out about China-the 'pic' should have been a
pic of a chinese popstar whom I'd never heard of and therefore accepted,
with hindsight, somewhat naively. I also had a look at my mssgr history and
she was about to send a jpg ominously entitled dieyiwhite.jpg !!! which I
declined.

I'd be very nervous about that. Don't take candy from strangers!

Have you tried a second opinion for viruses at
http://housecall.antivirus.com ?

If you want a second opinion on viruses, try
http://housecall.antivirus.com - you may not have anything. I still suggest
you don't accept files over IM...set up a freebie throwaway hotmail account
and have people send you stuff there -
