registration reminder

my packard bell comp keeps reminding me to register windows. ive already
registered before. ive only recovered my computer this time. i want to stop
it keep asking me everyday to register. everytime i select to skip
registration it just says i will be reminded again in 1 day. its damn
annoying. anyone know how to get rid of it? thanks

No, it's reminding you to *activate*, not to register. Activation
is required; registration is optional.

anyone know how to get rid of it?

Have you tried just doing what it asks you to?
 
its not activation. its registration. it tells me its optional but then
keeps bugging me. ive tried following through but im on broadband and it wont
recognise the connection. i just need to stop the reminder happening

That is probably a registration with Packard Bell, not Microsoft. The
only reason to register a system with Microsoft is to register for free
support - where they would promptly refer you to PB. So ask PB

It sounds like this is a Packard-Bell registration reminder, not a
Microsoft reminder. Look for the registration reminder entry by using
the System Configuration Utility:

Go to Start>Run and type (without quotes) "msconfig" [enter]. This
brings up the System Configuration Utility. Look on the Startup tab and
find the probable culprit. Uncheck the box next to its name, Apply and
OK out. You don't need to restart immediately, but the next time you do
you'll get a dialog saying you've used the Utility. Just tick the box
that says in effect, "don't bother me about this again".

Or call Packard-Bell tech support.
