regional settings

I have just upgraded windows xp pro to sp2 and i'm having a problem with
regional settings.
The default at the moment is english (us) but want to change to english
(ireland). i am able to change the setting in the control panel but when i
go back into the option it has reverted back to (us).
Even if i try to change the date format within (us) layout to suit me it
still doesn't save.
Can u help?

Make sure that all menus and submenus on all three tabs are set to the same
option - English (Ireland).
 
have tried that already to no successs.

Hi

If you've added English (Ireland) under the Languages>Details tab that
should enable you to make your options stick.
