hi!
so, I've got a "problem" that I would really like to get by.
By standard, the Xp home system i got from the manufacturer
is a 1 or 2 partition system. I would really like to get it up to
4-5,Because it makes my backup procedures dramatically.
How can i possibly do this? I ran in the command line: diskpart
but when the "ms-dos" window opens i don't quite know how to proceed.
Could anyone walk me through this, or recommend a program or utility which I
can use with ease?:p
any other links or trivia related to this topic would be highly recommended,
since I know like a million people
struggling with the same.

Thanks!

Partition Magic
However if you store your backups in a partition of a single drive and that
drive fails..............?

There is no utility within Windows XP that will allow you to resize existing partitions, to make room for new ones. You'll need a third party utility such as BootIT Next Generation (full fledged boot and partition manager) www.bootitng.com or Partition Majic. There are other utilities available, as well.

hehe...
Well, it's not quite the way i use it you see.
I put for example the most important programs in C:/
the music in D:/ etc.
that is how this helps me out!
but thanks for the tip even though its a paying program, darn...
