reformatting

Hi, I recently bought a new computer without a floppy
drive. Is it possible to boot from a USB stick? I'm
wondering in case I need to reformat my drive; usually I
would use a floppy bootdisk. Are there CD versions of
bootdisks? Thanks,

your Windows XP cdrom is bootable, you format from within the setup.

You can reboot from a USB stick only if your BIOS supports that method. Of
course you'll need to format the USB stick to include system files.

Booting from a Windows CD is probably a better way to go. I reinstalled Win
XP from CD after reformatting my hard disk.
