I want to reformat my slave drive (F:), remove a
partition from my C: drive which I put there when first
installing XP Home and then use the F: drive as backup.
Where do I start? Are there any walkthroughs I can access?
Cheers.
ps. don't forget to delete 'deletethis' from my email
address!

Kim, to format your F: drive just rt click on it and select Format while
in MyComputer. To remove a partition is a little trickier. You can use a
third party software such as Partition Magic or you can use
a free bootdisk you can obtain here. www.bootdisk.com Fdisk can
delete the partition for you.
How to use Fdisk check here

http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&ie=UTF-8&q=How+to+use+Fdisk+in+WinXP

You will have to go into the Bios and set the A: drive to be first boot
device. Read documentation
carefully.
