reformat hard drive

I believe I have some spyware or adware on my pc and have
tried numerous ways to eliminate the problem but have not
had any luck. I feel my last resort is to reformat my hard
drive and reinstall windows xp. How do I go about doing that?
 
Go into your motherboards bios and change the settings to boot from cd, the
XP cd is bootable and that will allow you to format and reinstall.

well to put windows xp on to ur hard drive you need to
have windows 98 because there is some conponets that xp
hasn't got that 98 has got. fist off all you save all the
files you need/want. then you put windows 1998 on and
make sure you have 512MB RAM then you simply put the xp
disc in and it should start installing by its self hope
