I am using the endnote function to type in references, a line appears on
top of the reference section, it appears in all the pages of reference
section and I want to get rid of that line.I tried to to look if any borders
are selected- but none was selected. I am unable to click on the line, no
right or left click. I need to format this document ASAP.please help

The line is called an 'endnote separator'. If you switch to
Normal view (Word 2003 or earlier) or Draft view (Word 2007), you
can delete the line.

In Normal/Draft View, select View/Show Footnotes, and in the dropdown
at the top of the footnote pane, choose "Endnote Separator" and delete
the line and the box it's in.

Thank you, it helped me a lot!
