Win2000, OLX6.
I also posted this to the OLX6 ng. I posted it here because Windows
apparently controls the connection failed timeout. (I cannot find it in
OLX.)
During peak hours it takes many tries for me to logon to my ISP
(bellsouth.net). Each time I try, it dials, gives the message that it is
submitting my password and username, and then times out with the message
that the port is not connected. I managed to reduce the time between redials
from 60 seconds to 10 seconds.
But I cannot find out how (or if) I can reduce the 60 or so seconds that it
just sits there before timing out with the port not connected. (I cannot
cancel out of the connection try during
this time by the way. It just sits.)
Is there any way to reduce this time in the penalty box?
Thanks for any help you can give.
