Hope someone has an easy answer for this. In Excel XP I
want to reduce large numbers of existing integer figures
by five percent, but not end up with any figure in any
blank cells in between. Using paste special-subtract
puts the subtracted figure in blank cells as well as
reducing the others.
Sure there will be an easy way around this, just can't
see it yet!!
Any assistance would be much appreciated.
Thanks, Rich

One way, put .95 in an empty cell, copy it, select the whole range of
numbers and blanks, press F5, select special, select constants and uncheck
everything except numbers, do edit>paste special and select multiply

Thanks very much Peo, it works fine. Don't think I would
have worked that one out for myself!! Sorry for the
delay in responding.
