Redirection by rule in Outlook 2003

I have been reading up on using rules for forwarding and redirection on this
very useful webpage
http://office.microsoft.com/en-gb/assistance/HA011502011033.aspx.

But when I come to setup redirection and wish to follow the instruction
"Under Step 1: Select action(s), select the redirect it to people or
distribution list check box.", I find that this option is not present in my
Action Options.

The forwarding option is present and does work. But the article convinced me
that redirection is the correct option for my circumstances and I would like
to implement it.

Any suggestions, anyone?

Are you connected to an Exchange server?

No - I'm connected to a POP3 server. I'm trying to set something up to allow
my not-yet-teenage kids a relatively free access to internet and E-mail while
at the same time directing all their incoming mail through my mailbox. I want
to set up a rule to redirect mail that is known to be safe to their mailboxes
as if they had received it directly themselves. Does that make sense?

And, let me anticipate ... Is that the problem? Will redirection only work
on an Exchange server?

Can you confirm and then I'll give MS some feedback on the article I was
reading.

Thanks for the reply - Bill

That is correct; it only works for Exchange.

Your intends make sense to me. Does setting strict Junk E-mail settings work
for you? You can configure it to only deliver e-mail from a whitelist (like
from friends and family) and have it automatically delete everything else.
