Greetings:

I've a need to redirect printer output on LPT1 to a USB port but have not been able to do so using printer pooling or the MODE command (it only supports redirection to COM ports). Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

What OS are you using? In win 98 go to the printer
properties then click the details tab and change the port
to USB. If win XP Or win 2k go to printer properties then
click on ports tab then scroll down to the USB port and
check it (that is, if you installed the usb printer
driver properly).

There are utilities on the Internet which allows to you re-direct a print
job to a USB printer. Print to File (???) is one .

The USB Printer operates properly and the OS is XP Professional, thus the
posting to windows.hardware.
