Some Vista User

Good day,

Okay, I am running Vista Business, on a Dell Latitude D830 with 4GB RAM, and
256Mb nVidia graphics card, and for the most part Vista performance pretty
well. The computer has been joined to a domain, and the "My Documents"
folder has been redirected to a network share.

The problem is that when I click "Start" and look on the program bar, I see
"John Doe" and "JDoe" listed. Selected "John Doe" takes me to the local C
drive, with another set of folders; including a "Documents" folder.
Selected "JDoe" takes me to the redirected network folder.

How can I get both links to take me to the network share? Or, for only one
name to appear in the program bar?

Hi
In most cases External Shares control is on the computer with the shares,
i.e., Not on your computer. Since you are on a Domain the shares are
probably controlled on the server by the IT personal. The best would be
talking to them.
Jack (MVP-Networking).
