When I try to view some websites, and also when I try to bring up a download
(like a pdf file) I sometimes get a blank window with a small red "x" in the
top left corner. Can anyone suggest what settings I would need to do to be
able to view the information? Thanks.

I'm having the exact same issue after installing sp 2. Have you gotten a
resolution yet?

After installing SP2, Internet Explorer automatically tries to block all pop
up windows and images that it feels may be unwanted ads. Usually when it
does this, a small bar will show up at the top of the web page you are
viewing that will say something like "Internet Explorer has blocked this
website from opening a pop up window.... click here" You should click there
and see if it gives you options to allow whatever it has blocked.
Otherwise, it may just be a problem concerning broken links for the image
within the website itself.

Hi GAA :-)

You don't mention what version of Windows you have, but, try the following
and see if it helps.

Red X Instead of Images - Can't see or save Images/Pictures
Fuzzy Text and fuzzy web graphics

Change the DPI setting from Large to Normal and see if that helps.

I can't see JPG's or GIFS any more - red x - images missing - fuzzy
images/distorted images

Try uninstalling acrobat reader, and then re-installing it and getting the
latest updates that are available. That should work.
