Red Alert 2

hi, I have recently re-formatted my computer and installed Xp Pro from Home and red alert 2 now wont work. Whenever i run it, it starts to load go's to a black screen then exits. i have tryed every different compatiblity settings, and all the different combinations in compatibility and all my drivers are up to date. Xp is updated as well. yet tiberian sun works, but if i dont have the cd in the drive it dose the same thing as red alert 2

Hmm... you don't seem to be the only one having problems. The people on
this thread talk about compatiability mode and disabling P4 hyperthreading.

I'd also suggest looking at other applications which are running while
you're playing RA2 (virus scanners, firewalls, etc). They may be
interfering with the application somehow.
