I'm still having the problem of trash going right past the recycle bin. So I
can not restore them if needed.

You do not say what you have tried.

If you haven't already done so, then right clicked on the recycle bin
and selected "Properties" then looked a the line:-

Do not move files to the recycle bin
Remove files immediately when deleted

If this has a tick next to it then that is your problem. Click on the
line to remove the tick and click "OK"

That box is unselected. When I delete something to the trash bin it just
disappears. So when I delete a picture its gone for good. so I can not
restore it like I used to. Something is wrong some where. I've tried
everything, checked the box, applied,,,, unchecked the box, applied,,,, no
matter what things just bypass recycle bin.
thanks

Have you tried Kelly's registry tweaks?

http://www.kellys-korner-xp.com/xp_tweaks.htm

Line 64 right hand column - Replace/repair the recycle bin in Windows
XP

Don't know if it will work but might be worth a try.

Hi
I downloaded Kellys change and it still is doing the same, right pass the
recycle bin
