When I delete a file it does not go to the Recycle Bin
even though I've set up things to operate that way. I
don't know what I've done over the past few days but my
Recycle Bin no longer works correctly. Is there anyway I
can re-set tings? Right-clicking on the icon and
changing the settings has no effect. I do get the
warning saying that the file will be deleted (not sent to
the bin) and things are deleted, just like it says, not
sent to the Bin. How can I redirect things to go to the
Bin first? Help!

Hi Charles,

Files not being listed in the Recycle Bin seem to be related to a corrupt
info2 file. To correct the issue (Fat32):
Go to Start/Run and type in CMD:

Type CD \RECYCLED, and then press ENTER.
Type ATTRIB -r -s -h info2, and then press ENTER.
Type DEL INFO2, and then press ENTER.

NOTE: This deletes the damaged INFO2 file. Windows will recreate this file
as needed, automatically.
