Recycle Bin Left Window Pane

The left Window pane in my Recycle Bin has disappeared. That's the one that started off with the text "Empty the Recycle Bin." Nothing I did in View, Properties, Tools, CHKDSK, and Norton Disk Doctor could get it back. Any suggestions anyone.

So..
You open Recycle Bin..
Select:

Tools --> Folder Options --> General tab and select the radio button next to
"Show Common Tasks in Folders" and click OK.. and...?
 
Thanks. It's back. I would never have dreamed that radio button had
anything to do with it.
