My Recycle Bin keeps emptying, about every hour or two. I can's use
it as it keeps emptying, and dangerous.
I have sent hours researching the why's and cannot find a solution
that is in layman's terms.
Please help!!
Thank you!

If you type:

tasks

in the Run dialog box from the Start Menu, the Task Scheduler folder will
open. Do you see any unusual tasks that start every hour or two. If there is
a unusual task then look at the command line by selecting the task
properties. Does the command line contain "cleanmgr /sagerun:X" where X is a
number?

Is your hard drive almost full, or one of them if you have more than one
drive or partition? If so, Disk Cleanup may be running automatically, which
would be trying to make more room on whichever drive/partition is full (or
near full). This is may be why the recycle bin empties on it's own... Just
a thought.
