Hi,

I have recently accidently deleted a sheet within a work
book in Excel 2002 which I really need back somehow. Does
anyone know of a way I can find a copy of the older file
so I can either cut and paste the lost data or simply
save as to get it back?

I'm assuming that there must be a temp folder somewhere
where the files are but can't find it. As its a sheet
within a workbook it is NOT in the Rycycle Bin
unfortunatly......

Thanks in advance

Daran

With Excel XP, there'a an AutoRecover directory that holds a backup while the
file is open. The files there have an extension of .xar. Excel seems to delete
them when you close the workbook, but my Undelete program (from Executive
Software) doesn't capture the .xar file when it's deleted. And, AIR, when
Excel closes the file, the old version doesn't end up in Windows' Recycle Bin,
either. You may be out of luck.
