I have a done a recovery system in my computer without formating the hard drive so I could keep my files. The recovery was successfull but now I can not open in the Documents and Settings the old user I receive a message that I do not have access to that folder. In that folder I have the settings and old e-mails for Outlook, some files that were store at the desktop, etc. I have XP home edition, I tried to look for the security tab on the properties of that subdirectory so I could take over ownership but I was not able to do that. How can I open and access that subdirectory?
Thank you.

Goto TOOLS - FOLDER OPTIONS - VIEW tab and then uncheck USE SIMPLE FILE
SHARING. Then goto the Properties - Sharing tab of the desired folder and
take the ownership as a Administrator account (You must first have logon
with the account that have Administrative privileges). Then add your account
and assign the Permission to your account.
