Help, Help anyone,

I have a problem with my computer everytime I go to a web page it boots me
out the home page (icons). I was told to try a partial recovery first, which
didn't work. And now I was told it sounds like a virus and I need to do a
full recovery. I am new to all this. My question is how do I copy or format
all the bookmarks, etc so I don't lose them? And what else might I lose? I
understand how to copy files but this isn't a file. Can you copy it to a file?

Any info is appreciated.... ty
