My system crashed nd I had to reload the OS (XP). I
acquired Office_XPPro at the same time. When I installed
Office_XPPro, Outlook 2002 replaced Outlook Express. I
had saved my *.dbx files from Outlook express before
reloading XP. Is there a way to recover the personal mail
files in .dbx format in Outlook 2002?

Outlook doesn't replace Outlook Express as it is a completely different
program. If you miss the shortcut to Outlook Express browse to C:\Program
Files\Outlook Express\msimn.exe

No, it didn't. Outlook Express comes built into XP and can't be removed.

If you want to transfer your OE mesages to OL, first recover them to OE and
then export them to OL.
