Recovering email info from original admin account

Here's the scenario:
A laptop was purchased for use by one individual who simply used the default
Administrator account for login. It was requested by management that another
administrator account be set up. When the new account was created, it
replaced the default Admin account. All of the My Documents contents have
been recovered but how do you recover the email from a pop3 account?
I already did a search for all .pst files but am unable to open them. Any
suggestions on how to recover from this mess?

I should have mentioned that if they were using Outlook Express you should
be looking for .dbx files, which will have the Hidden attribute.

Thank you for your response. I solved the problem yesterday with someone
else's helpful link - (how to-outlook.com). FYI I created a new account with
admin priv that automatically replaced the default admin account.
