Recovering e-mails

I had to do a system recovery and I lost all of the e-mails I had. Does
anyone know of any program I could use to recover these?
 
i think there's a prog called norton go back. i seem to remember it being
bundled in norton system works 2004 (yes, 2Kfour). it retrieved data that had
been erased from the recycle bin, but as for data erased by a full system
recovery, i'm not sure. those bods at norton'll know though. good luck
