Recovering data from secure hard-disk

i have same problem as the below post sent by Jase. some
files are green which i cannot open. Is there a way to
decrypt the files if you have lost the certificates etc?
(i know this is like braking microsoft securities, but
surely there must be a way?)

No there is not a way. See my reply to Jase.
EFS is very good at what it does and without a full backup of the previous
install - or the appropriate keys exported then you will not be able to
recover your files.
