Recovering crypted files

dear all,

one one my users got crypted files on his laptop, I have
delete that user profile by mistake, how can i recover
those encrypted files and make them available.

If i have the backup data of the user can i use it or I
need somehow to retrive that user certificate and attached
it to me?

If this was in a domain, consider using the data recovery agent.
If you can restore the account using backups, that would reestablish
access as the EFS cert and decryption key are stored as a part of
the account.
Otherwise, you may be able to recover if you have on backup
a complete copy of the profile

More about the non-domain option mentioned by Roger:

If your backup contains the user profile folders for the user that encrypted
the files, you might be able to save the files. Take a look at this site:
