recover overwritten file?

Hi,

I was stupid enough to overwrite a file with an older version from my
backups by mistake.
Now I know plenty of file recovery tools to help when a file was
deleted by mistake, but
what would you recommend to recover a file was replaced by another file
with the same name?
Please let me know if this wasn't clear enough.

If you know plenty of recovery tools, try one.
There`s always the possibility that the original hasn`t been overwritten
yet.
The new file was not necessarily written to the same place on the H\drive.
