'recover deleted items' does not appear in Tools menu (Outlook)?

I can't find 'recover deleted items' option in Tools menu. Have tried editing
registry with Dumpster AlwaysOn and reinstalling Outlook - still not there.
Any suggestions?? Thanks.

Do you connect to an Exchange server? (directly - not via IMAP / POP).
That's the only way you'll see it.

Note: when you post in here, always include your version, SP level, and mode
(if applicable) of Outlook - you can find this information in Help | About.
Also include the type of mail account(s) you use and any other pertinent
details. Be sure to put a consise summary of your question in the subject
line, and the full details in the body of your post.
 
Thanks for the assistance - I connect through a POP server (email provider).
So, I guess I won't have this option then? Cheers.

Nope - no deleted item retention. Be careful. ;-)
 
I have the same probelm, but I'm connected directly to exchange environment
and it was working very well with me before formatting my machin.
I have outlook 2007, XP SP3.

I hope any one can help.
