When I try to record my own music directly through my Cakewalk Music Creator
2003 software I get a message saying Windows cannot execute file
SndVol32.exe. It directs me to Add/Remove Programs to install it but I can't
figure out how. I've been able to record in the past. HELP!!!

You do not want to use the SndVol32.exe for that is your Sound Recorder
and is limited to 60 seconds of recording time. You must have another sound
application on your PC, if not, search Google for many free ones. Or
download:
Audacity (sound file editor)
http://audacity.sourceforge.net/

Wow. this is a really old post. Wonder if the problem is fixed, as I have
to do the same thing with my new computer and vista, which so far I really
hate....I have been on tech support twice in 6 weeks for a frozen computer
and a blank screen...I will check back here to see if anyone has posted
anything regarding cakewalk. I wonder if Byte called tech support for
cakewalk....I imagine there are driver issues?//

AFAIA, Cakewalk Sonar 6.2.1 is the only software they do compatible with
Vista......... Have you tried a Cakewalk Forum (available from their
website) ?

Music Creator perhaps in Compatability mode perhaps, I don't have Vista, so
I don't know (and don't care for the moment) MC will work in XP.

However, you really could try consulting a Vista Newsgroup (or Cakewalk).

Cheers,
Jerry
