Recording back to DV Camcorder

I'm able to capture, edit, ect. and save my work to C: drive but cannot export back to my DV camcorder (avi). I'm using a Dell Latitude D600, any suggestions.
 
If you can successfully save your movie to your HD as a
DV-AVI file, you should be able to transfer back to your
DV camcorder. I prefer WinDV, a free software download
that will transfer a DV-AVI file to your DV camcorder.

Laptop may not have the speed to handle it?
Can you move the file to a desktop machine and try it out?
