recording audio

I am trying to use narrator to read the notes I have prepared in Microsoft
Word but I can't find sound recorder in start --program---accessories etc..
I tried to find program nero wave editor and although I could find help file
for it. the actual program to record couldn't be found. Are these both
programs not in my system, if so why is there help file for nero?
thanks for the help or any better method to do the task.
 
Go to the Nero Website and download update package #1 for Nero 6. It has
Wave Editor on it.
It's pretty straight forward once you're in there and does a very decent
job.
