Record Tasks in Journal

I know the Journal has a "task" entry option, but they don't coincide with
the task list. I use tasks quite often to keep track of what I am doing,
but there is no way for the journal to record when I open the task to make
progress notes in the task itself. Basically the Tasks in the Task list are
not recorded in the journal. Any way to coordinate these two tools. I work
at a place where I have to record/account for my time each day at work.
Journal is great for this, but for the task entry/task list disconnect

Try dragging the task to the Journal folder. That will open up a new journal
entry with a shortcut to the task and the same subject as the task. You can
turn the timer one, then doubleclick the shortcut to work on the task.
