recommended antivirus programs for outlook

I encountered a known problem with Norton Antivirus and
AntiSpam locking up the email functions of Outlook 2003. Can you recommend
an antivirus program that is compatible with Outlook 2003?

There are a number of them. Trend Antivirus is one. McAfee/Network
Associates, EZ Armor, Panda, F-Secure...

As well as some free for personal use, like Grisoft's AVG.
 
I had a similar problem. I did a clean boot and it has rectified the issue.
There are detailed instructions on the MS's KnowledgeBase website. Check
out article ID 310353.
