I'm looking for software to gather software and hardware information from
PC's on a small network of about 200 PC's. I'm hoping to avoid installing
software on each PC to gather this information.

Any suggestions??
 
there are freeware available.
however, (1)they are free for single
computer use and (2) i don't recommend
giving them the opportunity to scan
the ring 0, generate a simple report
and embed something complicated in return.

instead, you can run msconfig32 and
generate/print a report without compromising
the integrity of your system.

not sure if a database could be
created from generated text files,
but sounds like fun to build one for
200 units...

as there is no such
thing as msconfig32.
