Hi

Can anyone recommend a free/freeware utility to convert .SWF files into
..MP3? (And I specifically dont want anything time-bombed!)

with thanks

Hmm...The only thing I found was a swf > avi tool but it offered no
audio support. The page did however suggest another possible approach
(at least one that I would use) Instead of looking a swf > mp3 tool,
look for a free audio recorder- kinda like the recorder in Windows that
lets you hit record and it saves whatever is "playing" as a wav.
(c:\Windows\System32\sndrec32.exe)
Converting a wav to an mp3 is a lot easier than converting a swf file to
an mp3.
good luck

Ok, I think I figured out another approach- a program called Audacity
http://audacity.sourceforge.net/ allows you to record sounds being
played on your comp AND export them as an MP3.

Kinetic Fusion (www.kinesissoftware.com) is an SWFtoRVML and
RVMLtoSWF-converter that also extracts MP3's out of SWF's (if they're
imported MP3's in the first place)... They used to have a free version not
sure if they still do.

My former employer insisted on using Flash for images. Then I had him
load one of his own pages to see how much it "dragged" with all the
Flash pics. He still insisted on using Flash for images.

I wouldn't call him "odd," however. The word "idiot" came to mind many
many times...
