Recognizing DVD-RW Disc in XP

A fix has been developed to recognize a DVD-RW Disc in
Windows XP according to Microsoft Knowledge Base Article
8187733 but the fix is not generally available. Does
anyone know when the fix will be available so that I can
update my XP?
 
If you need the hotfix, do what the page says and CALL Microsoft.

If the page says it will be part of SP2, that software has only just begun
beta testing and perhaps mid-2004 will be the release.
