For various reasons I have to perform the dreaded REFORMAT operation. I only
have my MS Office 2000 Upgrade version disk (lost the original install way
back) and am concerned that after reformatting the upgrade disk will not
recognize a former version and therefore not install.

Is there any around this? Perhaps saving a critical portion of my current MS
Office to a cd that could then be restored to XP after reinstallation so MS
Office would recognize it?

TIA

No, you'll need the actual Office CD. Otherwise, you'll
be unable to install Office 2000.
