IF ANYBODY CAN HELP ME PLEASE!!!
I JUST UPGRADE MY DESKTOP FROM OLD ATHLON XP BASE WITH WINDOWS XP PRO TO
ATHLON 64 X2 BASE WITH VISTA HOME BASIC EDITION CLEAN INSTALL.
I HAVE 2 (TWO) 250GB WD HARD DRIVE FORMATTED WITH NTFS WINDOWS XP PRO AS
"DYNAMIC HARD" DRIVE FILLED WITH IMPORTANT INFORMATION TO ME (FAMILY PICS,
HOME VIDEO, ETC) THAT I CANNOT ACCESS. IT CAME UP AS OFFLINE ON DISK
MANAGEMENT AND IT DOESN'T HAVE ANY OPTION TO MAKE IT ONLINE. I TRIED USING
COMMAND PROMT TO REACTIVATE THE DRIVE BUT IT GAVE ME MESSAGE "DO NOT
SUPPORTED BY THIS WINDOWS VERSION. I UNDERSTAND THAT VISTA HOME EDITION
DOESN'T SUPPORT DYNAMIC HARD DRIVE. I KNOW THE DATAS STILL IN THE HARD DRIVE,
I JUST CANNOT ACCESS THEM. ANYBODY HAVE ANY SOLUTION? THANK YOU.....

PS: I RECENTLY TRY CREATING THE IMAGE ONTO ANOTHER DRIVE THAT FORMATTED AS
BASIC HARD DRIVE, AND STILL ON PROGRESS AS I POST THIS THREAD

Thanks for the replay dave,
That's mainly the problem i am facing now.
I wonder if anybody know a way to get around it, without having me upgrade
my OS to Ultimate or business version.
Is there a way to copy the whole information from that dynamic drive to a
new hard drive that formatted w/ Vista ?

Sure, just mount that drive in an XP box and access it via the network. XP
Pro, at least, should be able to use it...

For what it's worth, I doubt you'll be happy with Home Basic - it's too
basic for anything except very old hardware...

Thanks.....
I tried the link and followed the instruction but got to certain point where
diskprobe try to open any physical disk.
According to the instruction it should listed all the physical disk but it
didn't, so I could not continue. I still don't know what I did wrong....
I will try again later on.....
But I appreciate the link.....
