Recent plague of runtime errors with IE

The conventional wisdom seems to be to uninstall Google. At least in my case
this does no good. Has Microsoft produced any recent updates or downloads
that might be the culprit?

McAfee has been putting out a steady stream of anti virus updates. Is this
a common thread fot those who are experiencing the problem?

How do we get someone to take a serious look at this and help us all?

Uninstall google ? Google has no software except for thier task bar add
in....As for mcafee, any version above 6.0 will consistantly cause IE
problems,
mcafee takes over xp in certain areas. Why should microsoft solve these
problems.....

How about an exact runtime error?
There are many and not all can be attributed to the Google toolbar.

I am experiencing the same problem as in the post below, but only with IE,
not with Windows Explorer. No viruses, spyware, or system file problems are
detected.

Question

I have two users on WIndows XP (home). Mine works fine, but when my wife
goes
to her account, she gets an error window when trying to run Internet Explorer
or Windows Explorer. It says :
_____________________________________________________________
Microsoft Visual C ++ Runtime Library
Runtime error!
Program c:\program files\internet explorer\iexcplore.com
this program has requested the Runtime to terminate it in a n unusual way.

I see many other posts that appear to be the same or a related problem. In
my case, one user can open multiple instances of IE but the second user gets
the error message and cannot open IE if user one left IE open. I am running
XP Pro SP2.

Thanks for any suggestions you can offer.

Yes, and it makes no difference.
I should mention that this is a new problem, only a couple of weeks old.
That is why I am suspicious of some update being the source of the problem.

I have the same problem - did you discover a solution??

Why are you posting to a 20 day old thread? Post a new question giving
specifics.
