recent bog down of cpu

i have recently been experiencing cpu usage spikes that i did not suffer
before ... any ideas

I have experienced the same thing after installing sp2
(don't know if it's related or not). XP was running really
slowly so I opened task manager and saw that my cpu usage
was pegged at 100% with a rundll32.exe process consuming
about 96% of my cpu. I ended this process in task manager
and all seems to work alright after this - I have another
instance of a rundll32 in my process list also. I've
scanned with Norton Antivirus, AdAware and SpyBot S & D -
all gave me a green board. What gives?
